CHAPUT, Rita Reine - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 in her 84th year. Rita Chaput (nee Roy) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Marc Chaput and common-law wife of the late Jim Mitchell Sr. Loving mother of Marcel (the late Sheila) Chaput, Michel (Jane) Chaput, Bernard Chaput, Eric (Charlene) Chaput, all of Pemborke, Luc Chaput of BC, and Diane (Marc) Michaud of Winnipeg. Dear sister of Anita Whalen (the late Bernard) of Brantford. Predeceased by grandson Yann MIchaud, by parents Jean-Baptiste Roy and Florence Chaput, by brothers Arthur, Henry and Leo Roy. Sadly missed by niece Brenda Whalen, by 9 grandchildren, by 7 great granchildren, and by many cousins and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Pembroke on Friday, January 25th, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., followed by cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated.
