Although I never met Sister Maureen, she was a lifelong friend of my mother, Evelyn MacLeod. They would share long telephone conversations and reminisce about the ‘Burgh. Each Christmas they would exchange Christmas cards and best wishes for the coming year. After my mother passed away in 2002, we kept the Christmas tradition alive and Sister Maureen would have a Mass said in my Mom’s memory on her birthday.
To Sister Maureen’s family and the members of her religious community, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of an exceptional and loving woman.
